Olivier Grunewald started his career as a mountain sport photographer, and in this capacity, he found himself in extremely acrobatic situations in order to catch the movements of talented rock climbers and mountaineers (Price of "La fondation de la Vocation" in 1988).
Drawn to the wilderness, he travels all over the world to find exceptional light and sites that he captures with his large format camera. His search has taken him to the far North to watch the Northern Lights. (World Press Photo award 2002).
His work is published in many magazines as well as in books (l'Ouest Americain, Australie Terre de Rêve, Images de Création…).
