Laura Salvinelli

Laura lives in Rome where she has been working for 20 years as a photographer. She has always focused on black and white photos, in studios and reportages. In 1992, she took the main role in the movie "Why Buddha?", by Paolo Brunatto, filmed on the set of "Little Buddha" of Bernardo Bertolucci. For her, photography is a way of transforming memories into dreams. Protecting her subjects as she catches their images makes them instantly familiar. Her favorite masters are Caravaggio and the Flemish painters of the XVII century for their great use of light, Fellini and the neorealist italian filmakers, and in particular Pierpaolo Pasolini for their compassion for mankind.
