Uwe Ommer started his life and his career in Germany and wan the first price at the "Deutscher jugend Photo Preis". When he was 20, he moved to Paris where 3 years later he opened his own studio. For 30 years, he made innumerable photos for advertisement and was interested by the exoticism and the beauty of women. In 1995, he took up the challenge of making the album of the planet and went over the world for 4 years, with his car and his Rolleiflex, to photograph and interview 1251 families in 130 countries.
His work is shown in Europe and in United States, in galleries, museums or outdoors (Wall of the Sénat in Paris, Hohenzollern Bridge in Cologne).
