Philippe Fragnol

Philippe Fragnol's photography is the fruit of years of world travel and a myriad of acquaintences made around the globe. Chamonix, France, has served as his base for over a decade, and he is an intimate friend of many of the extreme athlètes whose exploits he documents with his unique talent of capturing with instinctual precision the moment of action, the natural environment with an ultimate intensity. Above and beyond more esthetic images, he is foremost a priviledged witness to very unique extreme sports action, with all of natures spendor as his backdrop.

By widening the angle of his shots, most often by use of a helicopter, he offers the viewer a most spectacular vision of each gesture and form captured on film. Every one of these moments is an instant of thrilling emotion, signed by Philippe Fragnol.
